The floor is being redone near the bathroom. Because there used to be a tile floor in the walk-in closet, we have a bit of a step between the bathroom and the bedroom. This causes two problems: how to cover up the plywood you can see clearly to the left of the piece of wood in floor-04.jpg; and how to fix the gap between the bottom of the door frame and the floor, as you can see in floor-05.jpg.

Fun, eh?

Oh, be warned: all shots are huge -- around 1600x1200. Pay attention to the file sizes before clicking..

We need something to cover the lip of the bathroom door. Not sure if this piece of wood is too deep or not though. It also isn't quite as high as I would have liked. I was hoping it would be flush with the top of the marble tile.

They are pretty shallow, so they would make good door frames I think. Here's what I think was a floorboard in the walk-in closet. It's a lot deeper. This pile on the right side of the garage is all bedroom baseboards

The pile on the left is all the crappy baseboards from the walk-in closet that we don't like too much. Comparing one of the old crappy baseboards to the existing door frame. We were briefly thinking of using the old floorboards to replace the front of the frame so that it would go all the way down to the floor. They're not only wider, but shallower than the existing frame.
