| Our trip to Capri!! We joined a tour set up in Macchiagodena... had to be on the bus by 4:30 am! We arrived in Naples at about 7:30. This is an important picture for me, simply because it's the port in Naples. My father left Italy from hear in the early 50's, and my mother and brother left in November 1955 (close to 50 years earlier). My mother says she spent the entire time in her room, sea sick, while Tony ran loose all over the ship. (Can you imagine??? Eek!) | A view of Naples as we set off for Capri, a 1.5 hour trip. We went with Angela and Tony. Angela, poor thing, was very sensitive to the boat's movements. She wan't actually sea sick, but she looked pretty pale. | Capri! Stunning island, almost entirely sheer cliffs. Very green, and absolutely stunning buildings, piled on top of eachother. | |

| Much to Angela's delight, I'm sure, the group decided to take a boat tour around the island. No sooner did we get off the big boat, we set off in a very small boat. It took more than an hour to go around the island. Angela was looking particularly green. | The boat driver took us through arches, next to grottos, and into cave openings. It was a great experience. | I was actually trying to get a shot of a rock formation inside the cave way up overhead. The rock formation was said to look like the virgin Mary, which of course, is an extremely important site to most Italians. There were a few more religious sites around the island. | My cousin Felice, and a bunch of his friends, had come along for the trip as well. A treat for me as I enjoy spending time with him. |
